Guludo Beach Lodge is seeking either an individual or couple to manage Guludo Beach Lodge, in Macomia, Cabo Delgado.
Duties
- Financial reporting: timely monthly reporting, delivery against a budget
- HR management and staff development
- Developing a high quality guest experience: hosting, accommodation, food, staff, activities
- Infrastructure: development and maintenance of all infrastructure
- Security: lodge security, regularly reviewed Emergency Action Plan and fire control
- Logistics and procurement
- Government: liaise with local, regional and national government and compliance with local licensing and legislation
- Managing the marketing and sales and liaising with the sales manager
- Manage community relations
Requisites
- Prior experience in Lodge/Hotel Management (preferably in Africa)
- Fluent English and good Portuguese
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills: prioritising workload, multi-tasking, ability to be adaptable and flexible in a challenging environment
- A confident decision maker with proven history of people management and leadership
- A good and patient communicator who can build professional relations and interact with a range of audiences, including local communities
- A motivated self-starter who can lead on new initiatives and projects
- A problem-solver who can make tough decisions and find solutions to difficult problems
- Excellent IT skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
- A good grasp of English and Portuguese
- Swahili and Spanish would also be an asset
- Full driving license
