Human Resources Assistant

The U.S. Embassy is recruiting a Human Resources Assistant, to be based in Maputo.

Duties
  • Provides a wide range of HR services such as employee evaluation reports, recruitment, accreditation, orientation, the Foreign Service Exam, and other HR services
  • Handles a portfolio of mission sections/agencies to manage their HR needs for LES and USDH
Requisites
  • Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Two years of university level studies in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • Three years of experience in human resources, business administration, or employment within an international organization or diplomatic mission
  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Level IV (fluency) in reading, written and speaking English required
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills in dealing with a wide variety of clients
  • Strong organizational skills are required to manage a number of competing tasks
  • Good working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail software
  • Ability to identify problems, meet deadlines and work independently
