Head Miller

Capital Outsourcing is hiring a Head Miller for Maputo.

Duties

• Maximizing of milling extractions and efficiencies
• Maintain consistent quality standards
• Implementation of milling performance management and monitoring systems – MDWT
• Training and development of operating staff at the Maize Mill
• Compilation of production and operating reports
• Implementation of an effective equipment maintenance program for the Maize Mill
• Maintaining an effective fumigation program
• Maintain a high standard of plant hygiene and housekeeping

Requisites

• Qualified Milling (Maize) Trade Test
• Milling Diploma – GMF or other internationally recognized milling technology diploma in Maize milling technology
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience as a Head Miller or comparable position of a Maize milling operation
• Supervisory development and leadership training
• Maize milling and safety training
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• Assertive , dynamic and proactive individual
• Leadership by example
• Hands-on individual capable of motivating lower skills levels while maintaining discipline and acceptable work practices
• Management by "walking around"
• Capable of working with both new and older technology and equipment
• Good communicator with “ shop floor “ levels
• Good team builder and effective participator
• Able to work effectively independently as well as in a team structure
• Capable of enforcing acceptable factory safety & hygiene standards
