US Embassy is recruiting a Administrative Clerk, to be based in Maputo.
Duties
- The incumbent serves as the Administrative Assistant for the Financial Management Office (FMO) staff and is responsible for assisting in facilitating the organization of the work flow of the office by receiving and recording invoices and other documents coming in the FMO Office, tracking and filing documents, physically and electronically, maintaining electronic files of Contracts, BPAs, Leases and other official documents in use in the FMO office, claiming VAT reimbursement requests from the Host Government, keeping the FMO Officer agenda
- Main Timekeeper and POC for T&A preparation and timely submission as well as for any payroll issues. The incumbent is also responsible for the maintenance of the Financial Management Office’s share point page
Requisites
- Completion of 3 years of university degree in Finance or Accounting or completion of 3 year technical training/ course in finance or accounting is required
- Two years of experience in book-keeping or accounting work with general office work is required
- Good knowledge of the basic requirements of administrative procedures, basic principles of accounting and/or bookkeeping is required
- Knowledge of electronic filing systems, use of photocopying machines, scanners, Digital Senders, fax machines is required
- Proficiency in Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Adobe and Word applications is required
- Ability to use e-mail and to draft cables is required. Ability to detect and avoid errors is required. Incumbent must be customer friendly and able to provide service and address problems with courtesy and patience
