CCS - Centro de Colaboração em Saúde is recruiting a Senior Program Advisor, to be based in Maputo.
Duties
- To work in close collaboration with CCS’s central management team to support the organization’s activities.
- Planning and budgeting activities, drafting CCS internal reports and reports for donors, participation in the drafting of the programs’ objectives, external communication, including with donors, monitoring progress of programs implementation
- Coordinate the whole process of CCS’s annual, quarterly and monthly planning from district to central level
- Coordinate for activity planning to be included in the annual planning of institutions that work with CCS
- Leed the monitoring process of plan implementation
- Lead the process of drafting monthly, quarterly, semester and annual , both internal of CCS and for donors and institutions that work with CCS
- Lead the process of establishing and managing CCS’s website
- Coordinate the drafting of articles for publication, lessons learned, case studies and other materials necessary for NGOs and donors
- Supervise the drafting and periodical revision of program objectives, budgets and the staff working plans
- Take part in regular meetings of CCS, be it at technical or administrative/ financial level
- Monitor progress in order o achieve program objectives and deadlines, including communication with donors
- Support the Executive Director in the management of relations with Mozambican Government officials: to negotiate and draft memorandums of understanding to define work relations with government partners, facilitating efficacious communication between CCS and the government
- Whenever necessary, to represent CCS in meetings with MoH, donors and partners and prepare reports and presentations as requested by the Executive Director
- Perform any other tasks that may be assigned
Requisites
- Wide national and international experience on public health and management of HIV/AIDS programs
- Work experience with donor agencies, such as USAID, CDC and familiarity the with norms and regulations of those agencies
- Capacity to manage projects / activities, define priorities and realistic chronograms and follow them adequately
- Experience in drafting program activities, working plans and budget
- Excellent interpersonal skills and capacity to work in a team
- Excellent communications skills
- Sensitivity for cultural differences and understanding of political and ethic issues related to HIV infection
- Capacity to work well with others and to develop and maintain compatibility between the project team, donors, sub-beneficiaries and other partners
- Postgraduate in public health, social sciences or related areas
- Over 5 years experience in international development programs
- Experience in management of projects funded by the US Government
- Fluency in English, spoken and written
- Good knowledge of Portuguese, spoken and written
