FHI360 is recruiting a Clinical Director, to be based in Maputo.
Duties
- Determines the overall direction, strategy and performance standards for clinical activities
- Oversees activities related to Clinical Operations infrastructure
- Provides Clinical Operations expertise and leadership to cross functional project teams
- Ensures that services provided to clients are compliant with country-specific regulations. Develops and maintains strong business relationships with clients and key opinion leaders

Oversees and coordinates the timely development of all essential project documents including project plans and monitoring tools
- Oversees/participates in the implementation of sponsor and investigator meetings, conferences and workshops
- Contributes to scientific publications and presentations for journals and symposium
- Evaluates and reviews project tasks with Clinical Operations team and implement required changes
- Represent whenever the Project Director is required
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Director and the National Director of FHI 360
- Assist in the documentation of good practices and its presentation through Quality Improvement methodology
Requisites
- A professional advanced degree in public health or a related field (a clinical degree with experience in medicine, or an allied health field is desirable)
- At least 10 years of experience in public health, including at least six years of experience in HIV/AIDS, in developing and/or transitional countries
- At least five years of experience in a senior technical position for a public health and/or international development project
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and/or experiences in
- Comprehensive HIV/AIDS implementation
- Laboratory and pharmaceutical management to support HIV/AIDS service delivery
- Health worker training to support HIV/AIDS service delivery
- Malaria, family planning/reproductive health, and maternal, newborn, and child health integration into HIV/AIDS service delivery; (desirable)
- Gender issues, operational research, and other programmatic learning activities as they pertain to HIV/AIDS, health, and development programming
- Demonstrated skills, abilities, and experiences to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Fluent in Portuguese and English will be advantages
- The ability to travel extensively to program locations within Mozambique and to other places, as required
