US Embassy is recruiting a Housing & Leasing Specialist, to be based in Maputo.
Duties
- Incumbent is responsible for the overall administration of all residential and office leases for ICASS agencies
- Assist in lease negotiations and ensure timely preparation of all lease documents, amendments and notices
- Track all other actions related to the lease portfolio, including lease caveats and obtaining necessary lease clearance and waivers
- Developing and maintain close relationship with the local real estate community, landlords, and the Interagency Housing Board, and management representatives from the ICASS agencies
- Act as a primary advisor to the General Services Officer, Single Real Property Manager (SROM) on leasing matters. Report directly to the Supervisory General Services Officer (SGSO)
- Point of contact and coordinator for all landlord-funded residential housing repairs, make-readies, and termination, serves as liaison between the General Service Office and Facilities Maintenance Section in scheduling such work in conjunction with on-going work orders during make-ready
- Develop reports at transfer season, leasing needs, maintains lease file and records
- Update post management on lease needs or new lease requirement due to new position approval
Requisites
- Completion of 4 year university degree
- Three years of work in real estate management, business administration or project management work experience
- Level IV (fluent) speaking/reading/writing English is required. Level IV (fluent) speaking/reading/writing Portuguese is required
- Must have a valid driver’s license
