Project District Manager

Heading Moçambique is searching for a Project District Manager to be part of a new project in education for World Vision financed by the US Government, to be based in Nampula.

Duties

• With the responsibility to oversee the implementation of the programme activities at the district level, ensuring that the program achieves its goals and objectives with compliance to NGO and Donors’ standards
• Liaison with government and communities
• Overseeing NGO’s work in health and nutrition, infrastructure and agriculture
• Co-ordination with the sub-grantee who works on literacy and ensuring effective reporting on progress

Requisites

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject e.g. Development, Education, Management, Health
• Good understanding of project design and planning processes
• 5 years relevant experience, preferably in development projects
• Experience of working with US government funding preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including main language of area of assignment, Portuguese and English
• Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, or other similar software
