PATH is recruiting a Evaluation Coordinator, Malaria Control and Elimination Program, to be based in Zambézia, Mozambique.
Duties
- Coordinate between PATH, UNITAID, local research institutions, other NGOs and the government of Mozambique to ensure that all study procedures are followed
- Lead the communication and submission procedures for local IRB approval
- Coordinate workplans and designate timelines for data collection, entry and analysis
- Contribute to study protocol design and study operational procedures
- Draft written narrative to communicate results of analyses to the Sr. M&E Officer in Washington DC
- Liaise frequently and regularly with a variety of stakeholders including project participants, implementing partners, local, regional and national governments
- Attend local, regional meetings, as required
Requisites
- Demonstrated skill in coordinating and leading evaluations and research studies
- Demonstrated skill finding, reviewing and using quantitative data from multiple sources
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, including strong critical analysis and report writing; ability to communicate complex research findings to a range of audiences
- Excellent ability to work with and communicate to various stakeholders and organize partnerships
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to appropriately prioritize competing tasks
- Ability and willingness to travel nationally up to 30%
- Portuguese fluency required, English language skills preferred, Chuabo or other local language spoken in Zambezia highly desired
- Master’s in Public Health or other relevant graduate degree
- At least five years of experience required, eight years preferred, in evaluation and/or research coordination
- Experience in coordinating and leading evaluations and research studies
- Experience finding, reviewing and using quantitative data from multiple sources, including censuses, household surveys, health management information systems (i.e., DHIS-2) and published literature
- Experience with malaria work highly preferred
- Master’s in Public Health or other relevant graduate degree
- At least five years of experience required, eight years preferred, in evaluation and/or research coordination
- Experience in coordinating and leading evaluations and research studies
