WCS is recruiting a Part-time support as Information and Communications Coordinator for WCS Mozambique, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- This position will develop, and then implement, a monthly reporting system for WCS Mozambique (WCS-MZ) that includes the framework collecting and storing the reports and collating them into consolidated reports for different audiences. This position will also take the secretariat role, or support the secretariat role, for three senior management committees for Niassa National Reserve (NNR) in northern Mozambique
- This position can be based remotely, working from a home office, with travel as needed to NNR and the WCS MZ country office in Maputo. This position reports to the appropriate positions within the WCS MZ country program leadership team. It is envisaged that this will be a fixed-term part-time contract for up to two years based on the standard terms and conditions of the WCS Mozambique country program – which offers competitive packages for national and international staff
- Develop a monthly reporting framework and system for all non-financial information across WCS-MZ, i.e. covering programmatic, administrative, human resource, travel, and all other information needed for USAID and other donor compliance reporting, the system must include: agreed templates for all reports, who is responsible for reporting on what information, o report deadlines,o a report filing management system, including for supporting documentation, and o templates for the final reports for different audiences (e.g. NNR vs WCS-MZ reports, reports for donors, the government of Mozambique, or WCS internal use, etc.)
- Implement the reporting system designed under Objective 1,
- Produce consolidated reports as per the reporting system, and
- Agree and develop a monthly reporting system for the Operators
- Ensure compliance with donor and government reporting needs (e.g. USAID, USFWS, private donors, and the government of Mozambique)
- Support the WCS Niassa Program Director (who is the Chief of Party for WCS-MZ’s USAID grant) in the secretariat role for meetings of the ECO-SMART Global Development Alliance (GDA) partners under the MoU for the ECO-SMART GDA
- Support NNR Management with the secretariat role for the biannual operators meeting, and
- Support the WCS MZ Country Director with the secretariat role for the NNR Oversight Committee
