Program Manager for TB

ADPP is recruiting a Program Manager for TB, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

• ADPP-MOZAMBIQUE is seeking a health professional to manage a portfolio of a regional program of TB in the Mining Sector in the Southern Africa region (TIMS). TIMS is a regional coordinated response to tuberculosis and related illnesses in mineworkers, ex-mineworkers and their families and communities and will be implemented in 8 countries; Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania,, Swaziland and Zambia
• The Program Manager will be based in Maputo, be part of a Program Management office lead by a Program Coordinator. The Program Manager will be in charge of coordinating and supporting the program implementation in the 8 countries

Duties

• Assist, supervise, coordinate and support project implementation in selected participating countries
• Provide guidance and ensure country offices implement their projects in alignment with the program milestones, Log frame and the M&E Plan
• Monitor financial execution and accounting practices to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial reports in the countries under his/her responsibility
• Conduct field visits for quality assurance and technical support
• Assist in the elaboration of timely and quality narrative and financial quarterly and progress reports from the countries under his/her responsibility
• Maintain accurate project filing systems covering all project activities
• Conduct as appropriate information dissemination activities

Requisites

• Public Health at the Master’s Degree level or equivalent educational
• Relevant experience in working with HIV/AIDS and TB issues
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in project implementation, management and reporting
• Good M&E skills and experience in health projects
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Fluent in English with good writing skills
• Knowledge of computer software packages, word-processing, spreadsheets, power point, database management as well as internet
• Previous experiences with relevant donors such as Global Fund, USAID, CDC etc will be an asset
