Human Resources Workforce Development Specialist

US Embassy is recruiting a Human Resources Workforce Development Specialist, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties

• Incumbent serves as the internal expert on human capacity planning and staff development for CDC. In this capacity, s/he provides advice and guidance to approximately 80 CDC staff on the development of plans essential to ensuring effective utilization of human resources, staff capacity building and workplace performance awards. The support services include staff recruitment and the hiring process, human resource planning, including career ladder development, staff training and capacity building. Manages the Locally Employed staff (LE STAFF) Work and Development Plans (WDP) and training accounts
• Assures that all new staff are oriented to CDC policies, work environment, and are provided with the necessary training required to accomplish their jobs as the liaison between CDC and the Embassy Human Resource Office (HRO) and Atlanta Human Resources Center (AHRC)

Requisites

• Bachelor’s degree in social science, education, human resources, business administration, training or management is required
• A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible work experience in a program which includes significant responsibilities in training, recruitment, personnel management, or human capacity planning and staff development is required
• Level III English (fluency in both written and verbal) is required
• Level IV Portuguese (fluency in both written and verbal) is required
