Logistics Manager

Groupe Aldelia is recruiting a Logistics Manager, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties

• Participate in weekly S&OP meeting and provide inputs
• Ensure fulls and empties stock levels in WH are managed
• Ensure that layout and space for full product are managed
• Ensure space forempty bottles, crates and pallets are managed
• Manage direct reports to ensure product delivery to depot and to customer
• Ensure effective glass management glass returns from trade, reverse logistics, glass & crates sorting
• Review the current operation and plan for future operation related to manpower, and equipment requirements
• Constantly review the current WH layout and re-arrange if necessary
• Ensure route optimisation is done
• Ensure fleet mix is optimal
• Manage third party contracts Hauling, FLTs, Security, Direct service, delivery trucks, Third party distributors
• Ensure perfect delivery principles are followed and settlement done as per laid down procedure
• Investigate, initiate and drive optimisation opportunities in distribution and warehouse
• Enforce routines to ensure good customer service
• Ensure hauling to plan
• Ensure that customer complaints processes and procedures are managed
• To manage all logistics, warehouse, distribution and related activities in order to ensure the effective, efficient and safe storing and distribution of all company products
• To manage Asset Care Fleet and Trade Services to ensure optimization of company assets
• To manage risk Security and Occupational Health & Safety

Requisites

• National diploma in Logistics/Warehousing/Road transport
• Completed Senior Management stream of SC Academy.Completed inventory management, warehouse and transportation streams of SC Academy
• Bachelors Degree in Logistics or Commerce
• Sales experience would be beneficial
• Minimum 5 years operational experience in a LWD managerial role in the FMCG environment
