Child Protection Project Manager

Heading is recruiting a Child Protection Project Manager, to be based in Zambézia, Mozambique.

Duties

• Heading Moz is searching for a Child Protection Project Manager for an ONG to be based in Zambézia
• The Child Protection Manager will provide overall leadership and management for the Child Protection project, in accordance with relevant strategies (including national strategy and technical approaches), policies (including DME Policy, Child Protection Policy) and standards (including LEAP)
• The Project Manager directly supervises some project staff (M+E Co-ordinator, Accountant), while providing technical direction to district level project staff (Technical Coordinators) The Project Manager will also lead provincial level activities and government relations at the provincial level, as well as being the main point of contact with Organization in the US

Requisites

• Education and Knowledge
• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject (Development, Management, Social Sciences)
• Thorough working knowledge of programme/project cycle management
• Strong technical knowledge in the area of child protection
• Experience minimum of 5 years in managerial and/or leadership positions
• Experience of Project/Programme Management throughout the whole project cycle
• Prior experience in working in child protection
• Work Environment Based in the Provincial Office, with travel to the district up to 40% of the time
