US Embassy is recruiting a Public Health Specialist PMTCT - Prevention of Maternal to Child Transition/Maternal & Child Health Deputy Branch Chief, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Job holder serves as a deputy and senior public health technical advisor to the Maternal & Child Health (MCH) Branch Chief Job holder shares oversight responsibilities for the development and implementation of PMTCT, pediatric and MCH-related technical program activities and has direct responsibility for day-to-day coordination of branch administrative management activities that implement the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Duties and responsibilities include program planning and development, supervision of activity/branch staff, and grants, contracts and cooperative agreement oversight Incumbent works closely with the supervisor to ensure that all branch activities contribute to measurable results that are in accordance with agency regulations, PEPFAR strategic objectives, international ethical guidelines and standards for public health care
Requisites
- Medical degree
- Five years of public health experience in developing, implementing and evaluating public health programs (including related experience in medical care, epidemiology, infectious diseases, or similar scientific areas)
- Level III English (To be tested)
- Level IV Portuguese (To be tested)
