PRI is recruiting a Commissioning Permit Coordinator, to be based in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.
Duties
- Compliance with the HSE Policies, procedures and standards applicable to the Commissioning Team
- Establish and contribute to a culture of working safely within the commissioning team
- Report all incidents, health anomalies and workplace health hazards
- Undertake regular work area inspections and report/rectify faults/issues immediately
- Continually monitor the work environment to ensure the safety of yourself and other workers
- Make improvement recommendations to the Senior Team to continually increase the level of safety in the plant
- Provide effective leadership, and direction for permits to ensure a safe and timely commissioning of the plant areas
- Manage the Permit to Work system for commissioning
- For commissioning tasks design the isolation and permit structure to suit the work program
- Ensure isolation statements/procedures are approved by the Discipline Superintendents
- Maintain a register of HV switching operators
- Monitoring compliance with the Permit to Work System
- Manage the Construction Boundary Isolations
- Managing vendors and contractors and ensuring that they understand all of the relevant site and commissioning requirements
- Ensuring that discipline supervisors and technicians follow correct procedures and keep to the commissioning schedule
Requisites
- A degree in engineering
- Previous experience in management of work permits and isolation systems
- Proven exposure to commissioning systems and processes
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proactive and proven capacity to think conceptually and make assertive decisions
- African experience is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cohesively with team members
- Sound computer proficiency with intermediate MS Office skills
- English language speaking and writing
