Country Manager

RSM is recruiting for its cliente, one of South Africa and Africa's premier sports betting companies, a Country Manager, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.

Duties

• Manage every aspect of the expanding operation
• Liaise, interact and provide feedback with the Mozambique Gaming Board
• Manage all customer queries and maintain an excellent relationship with customers
• Serve as a VIP Manager to and for the most loyal customers, i.e. arranging entertainment, loyalty trips, etc.
• A well connected and vibrant individual, with an opportunistic and entrepreneurial flair to take advantage of any business opportunity
• Interact and work closely with the dedicated marketing agency in Mozambique, creating and monitoring briefs for marketing campaigns
• Network with dignitaries, stakeholders, and media houses for opportunities to grow the business
• Ensure business growth and annual targets are achieved, while especially monitoring and adhering to deadlines and budgets
• Build up and manage a network of retail agents, vendors and/or local businesses needed for production
• Conduct extensive research regarding the market
• Act as the key official in the Mozambique office, arranging and dealing with any administrative requirements
• Manage a consummate working relations with all affiliated processing companies (i.e. m-pesa) keeping up to date on the latest developments
• Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual budget and business activity reports to Group Management
• Contribute to the overall global success of the company

Requisites

• Grade 12/Matric/Secondary school certificate
• Relevant graduate (or post) commerce-related degree qualification
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a successful Country Manager or similar role
• Fluent in Portuguese and English (both verbal and written)
