Description

• Health System and Electronic Data Collection Advisor consultant will provide support on the tablet project implementation in Mozambique
• This document is terms of reference for the Health System and Electronic Data Collection Advisor whose role is to support on development and implementation of the Nurse Tablet Project implementation in Mozambique. In collaboration with PSI Mozambique Evidence Team evaluate the tablet project usability, provide support and advises on Medical Education content

Duties

• Evaluate the tablet usability
• Evaluate and improve the user experience of the pilot version
• Document and address the positive and negative aspects of the project
• Provide recommendations on future improvements, adjustments, etc.
• Provide guidelines and recommendations on how to project the project in 3-6 months
• Evaluate and document the nurse user experience and provide recommendations on future improvements and acceptability
• Provide support and advise on Medical Education Content (CME)
• Determine the material and course content that nurses should have access to
• Determine the certification that the nurses should receive after completing the course
• Evaluate what would motivate them to complete the training modules
• Develop and/or link existing resources

Requisites

• Information Technology Skills
• Background in managing projects that are reliant on Information Systems
• Able to define, and explain the technical aspects related to the project
• Familiar with tech gadgets, and can describe the benefits of using a tablet and mobile phone technology
• Familiar with Application development and can describe the purpose of each of the applications developed for the project
• Understands the use of Electronic learning platforms
• Technology in 3^rd world countries
• Project Management Skills:
• Ability to integrate into client environment to effectively work with the project team, and build positive professional relationships with clients and associates
• Time management - ability to organize and plan the time spent on activities throughout the project lifecycle to improve effectiveness and productivity
• Ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables
• Manage projects and related specific activities within given constraints of time, budget, and quality
• Allocate work among team members and provide guidance regularly
• Provide advice or suggestions for improvement according to objectives
• Conduct situational and data analysis to identify and understand problems or issues that may arise
• Evaluate the situation periodically and adjust when needed

Notes

• The Consultant does not need to be an IT expert, but they need to be familiar with the use of technology and informed about the fundamental component of Information Technologies/Systems
• Aside from these skills, the Consultant should obviously also possess the traditional project management skills, and show experience working in the industry. Degree in Project Management/BSc, or Business Administration is favorable and certification in consulting or field of expertise is an advantage
