Swedish Embassy in Mozambique is recruiting a Trainee to the Political, Communication and Promotion group (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Description
- Sweden has a long and close relationship with Mozambique that dates to the period before independence. Political, cultural as well as trade and business relations are at the core of Swedish- Mozambican collaboration. The Embassy works on a range of issues promoting Swedish values, culture and business. The development cooperation portfolio is substantial and includes different programs and projects related to human rights, environment, energy, agriculture and other areas. In addition, the Embassy also covers Madagascar and Eswatini (former Swaziland)
- The Embassy of Sweden is now recruiting a Trainee to the Political, Communication and Promotion group. The position is open to newly graduated candidates, with limited professional background, in the required fields
Requisites
- Honors degree in an area relevant for the position, which would include studies in information, communication, political science and/or economy
- Must have Mozambican nationality
- Excellent oral and written proficiency in English and Portuguese, as well as verbal communication skills
- It is seen as a merit if the candidate has experience in communication and information work
- Be interested in Swedish society and culture
- Be problem-solving, analytical and results oriented
- Have a strong interest in communication and information
- Have a solid understanding of society, institutions, culture and politics in Mozambique
- Be analytical, hands-on as well as team work oriented

- The internship is remunerated and includes field trips
