General Manager (m/f)

Description

• Such person would be responsible for the overall operational, sales and HR of the company. This position is for the most part autonomous requiring an energetic individual with a sound insight into the Mozambique dairy industry
• Reporting & Supervision: This position reports to the board of directors

Duties

• Ensuring a high standard of hygiene in the factory
• Closely liaising with all milk producers
• Product development initiatives
• Market development and strategy
• Operational strategy planning
• Creating and maintaining sound operational systems and stock taking
• Contribute to the following activities:
• Achieve overall dairy profitability
• Improve overall transport efficiency
• Drive key marketing initiative
• Initiate team building schedules
• Strengthen links with local and national institution
• Grow local milk suppliers
• Explore potential grant funding
• Focus on larger institutional clients

Key Performance Indicators

• Overall business profitability
• Milk intake volumes
• New business generated
• Consumer satisfaction with product

Requisites

• Minimum 10 years dairy processing experience
• Familiar with HACCP and ISO compliance
• Prepared to relocate to Chimoio
• Knowledge of cream separation techniques
• Sound inter-personnel skills
• Minimum 5 years sales and Marketing experience in the dairy field
• Appropriate tertiary qualification
• Proficiency in Microsoft office
• Professional proficiency in English and Portuguese
