Heading is recruiting a Head of People and Administration (m/f) for its client WATER AID, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Description
- Heading Moz is looking for a Head of People, Organizational Development and Administration for WATER AID to play a vital role in their mission to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone in Mozambique by 2030
- Working as part of WaterAid Mozambique’s Senior Management Team, this role will be responsible for developing and delivering people and organizational development plans which enable the Country Programme to achieve its strategy and goals. With a deep understanding of the strategy and context, the role will develop and embed appropriate people policies and practices. In addition, the role has overall accountability for ensuring effective administration processes
- WATER AID started because no NGO like them existed. And they'll end when no organisation like them is needed. In the meantime, they’re making great progress – since 1981, they've reached 25 million people with clean water and, since 2004, 24 million people with sanitation
Requisites
- To be successful, you’ll need to:
- Have extensive experience in a Senior HR role and at least 5 years at senior management level
- Have a Master’s degree level qualification in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology or Business Administration with a post graduate diploma in Human Resources Management
- Have Strong knowledge of HR best practice and innovative new practices Professional HR qualification highly desirable
- Be fully versed with the principles and procedures governing the full employee life cycle
- Have experience in change management and organizational design and development
- Experience managing an administration and procurement functions with proven track record of managing procurement processes that provide controls and value for money
- Have solid experience in developing and steering culture change and willingness to challenge the status quo
- Proficiency in English and Portuguese
- Strong IT skills MS Word, Excel and Outlook, with experience of using HR Information Systems, on line recruitment tools and Intranet
