CISM is recruiting a Senior IT (m/f), to be based in Manhiça, Mozambique.
Description
- The main goal of this position is to assure that all procedures and processes running at CISM Data Center are documented and comply with ECRIN Standards
- Therefore, the candidate will work on the establishment of a well-defined process documentation framework in the context of the Data Centre Certification
- The candidate must analyze current Data Center requirements requirements and define the structure and the operational functioning of it that meets ECRIN Standards. Moreover, the candidate must design the required tools to implement all the defined processes and to monitor and measure the progress at any time
Duties
- Among others, the duties will be:
- Perform IT Process Review and Development
- IT Technology Architecture Planning, Capacity Planning
- Risk Mitigation Planning
- High Availability Planning, and Disaster Recovery Planning
- A good understanding of both end user needs and business-to-business IT strategy
Plan and implement/update all technology projects/Strategies. Ensure project documentation is maintained in line with institutional standards and ECRIN standards
- Ensure adequate and relevant contingency and disaster recovery plans are maintained and periodically tested
- Adopting new processes, roles and skills for the IT Department, by focusing on ECRIN accreditation Standards
- Safeguarding the organization's information assets
- Monitor level of IT awareness and regular delivery of effective IT training in line with ECRIN Standards
- Logical Security: protecting data from unauthorized access, from outside the data Centre
- Controlling and differentiating access from within the Centre
- Security management system: implementing a basic Information Security Management System (ISMS)
- Identify security risks, together with an assessment of the potential damage to the Centre from a failure in each case
- Candidate will then select and implement security controls to reduce the identified risks and to meet the security objectives
- Maintain a continued review and adjustment of security controls as circumstances change and incidents occur and are analyzed
- The candidate will keep controlled documents that describe how the Centre implements data protection policies and the responsibilities of members of staff under those policies
Requisites
- Degree or Master in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or Mathematics
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in IT Governance
- COBIT or ITIL Certification (must have one)
- Strong knowledge of English
- Very good writing ability and documentation orientation
- Computer knowledge
- Deep knowledge of Computer Systems, both Server and Client Side
- Strong knowledge of both UNIX and Windows Operating Systems
- Knowledge of Data Base Management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Sybase, SQL Server, SQLite, etc) at least two
- Knowledge of Data Collection Tools (REDCap, OpenClinica, ODK, HDSS, DHIS, etc.), at least two
