PSI is recruiting a Program Officer (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
  • Liaise between Evidence, Communications and Programs Department to obtain data and information relevant for reports
  • Assist in the preparation of project work plans, reports and presentations to donors and stakeholders
  • Develop the annual activity report for our governmental partners (MISAU, MINEC, etc.)
  • Support the development and use of program tools for implementation and supervision
  • Establish and maintain an electronic database of Programs staff, roles and responsibilities, including field personnel
  • Assist with Project communication activities, including publications
  • Provide administrative support to the Programs team in the preparation of travel requests and justification
  • Provide administrative support for project events, including workshops, meetings (monthly, quarterly and annual) and training events
  • Provide logistical assistance including visas, transportation and accommodation bookings project consultants and visitors
  • Manage the Department’s procurement plan and ensure needs are planned for and requested
  • Ensure and follow up on requisitions for purchases of items and supplies through a tracking tool
  • Coordinate with the Operations department the delivery of equipment, materials and supplies to be distributed to each project based on requisitions provided
  • Maintain a proper inventory of project assets register, including numbering, recording and reporting
Requisites
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Business Administration, Sociology, Psychology, etc.)
  • At least 2 years of work experience as Project Officer
  • Demonstrated experience in project and administrative support activities
  • Fluency or strong working knowledge of oral and written Portuguese and English
  • Good computer skills in common word processing (MS Word), spreadsheet (MS Excel)
  • Familiar with MIS systems and processes (especially DHIS2) would be an asset
  • Work experience with NGOs on Family Planning/Sexual Reproductive Health projects is preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in team or partnership with a variety of audiences
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
