PSI is recruiting a Research Project Manager (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Responsible for supervising and providing direction throughout the process including the coordination of logistics for pre-testing study tool, training of field team and data collection
- Ensure undertaking effective collection, analysis and use of programmatic data
- Testing research questions and adapt interventions based on evidence and insights
- Ensure the use of interactive techniques to gain insights on target audience and use evidence-based insights to inform programming
- Liaise the communication between PSI and the local Ethic Committee ensuring all necessary amendment to the study protocol are communicated and implemented on time
- Synthetise external and internal evidence on effectiveness of interventions in the project
- Provide support on to lead implementation of monitoring project performance
Requisites
- Degree or equivalent experience in Public Health, Population Studies, Psychology, Communication, or any other related field
- At least 5 years of experience in the design, management, analysis, and dissemination of research in public health
- Working experience in market research (including behavioral segmentation), process evaluations, operational research, evaluations of communications effectiveness, and mobile health technologies
- Substantial experience with electronic data collection, designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems
- Ability to design and implement a wide range of quantitative and qualitative health research
- Experience in implementing programs at the community-level
- Demonstrated ability to inform programmatic decisions using research results
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Fluency or strong working knowledge of oral and written Portuguese and English
- Demonstrated ability to oversee quality of multiple current studies
- Familiar with MIS systems and processes
- Good planning and organization Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to travel frequently
