Total is recruiting an Electrical Technician (m/f), to be based in Afungi, Mozambique.

Duties
- Electrical works oversight of construction activities on the RV Project, Airstrip, ASI, Camp Expansion, as required; with particular emphasis to safety, regulatory and environmental compliance, internal procedures, national and international standards, in order to ensure technical integrity
- Assist in the review electrical wiring, lighting, control, and instrumentation drawings, with the aim to provide sound technical solutions to contractor's technical queries
- Evaluate and provide technical support for the construction, repair, and troubleshoot of electrical problems on MV&LV powerlines, generators, motors, controllers, MCC's, Transformers, VSDs, and Electrical Protection Apparatus
- Review the appropriate documentation including Project Quality Management Plan, contract deliverables, punch lists, check sheets and mechanical completion packages
- Prepare weekly progress and performance reports to the RV Management
- Assist in the preparation of maintenance plans and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure integrity and reliability of electrical installations
- Maintain test equipment ensuring its always safe for use through coordination with vendors that provide electrical test equipment calibration and maintenance services.
Requisites
- The successful candidate will have a minimum of (4) years’ experience as Electrical Technician in large scale projects
- Experience in Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel) and / or other relevant business information system
- Able to work independently internally and externally to the organization, while keeping his/her direct supervisor informed and involved at key decision points
- Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Able to summarize, organize and provide regular report of activities and progress to direct supervisor
- Fluent oral and written knowledge of Portuguese and English required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
