What are we looking for?

• Raizcorp Mozambique is looking to employ a highly professional and experienced Branch Manager with a strong background in the effective management of a branch within professional services/learning/training industries. You must have a real passion for the development of entrepreneurs coupled with a detail oriented eye for data, compliance analytics as well as leading a team of vastly experienced business coaches. You must be well-versed in the operational running of a remote branch, reporting into a head office structure. Your own entrepreneurial experience is also of paramount importance as you will deal with entrepreneurs and business coaches daily

What does a Branch Manager do?

• A Raizcorp Branch Manager is a caring leader who lives the spirit of Raizcorp by tirelessly serving the entrepreneurs on our programmes. You would be expected to apply the highest level of care in ensuring that all Raizcorp processes, systems and values are honoured and meticulously executed at all times. A Branch Manager is proactively engaged in the betterment of the Raizcorp branch: its growth, its quality of delivery; its reputation for excellence. As a Raizcorp Branch Manager, you will have a fiduciary duty to Raizcorp in the execution of all functions while nurturing a positive team culture of humble, respectful service. A Branch Manager also works as a business coach and therefore also engages with entrepreneurs in various coaching and adult classroom learning interventions

What experience is preferred?

• You need a stable track record and background. You need five to eight years of operational branch-management experience in a service-related industry. Managing a branch or retail space that is product focused will not be sufficient
• You must understand the nuances and demands of running various services, programmes and projects with strong client demands. You must understand service level agreements. A good understanding of systems (MS Office and inhouse systems) will be critical. A strong detail focus with solid administrative skill is essential
• Experience in reporting on data and metrics is important. We also require our leader-managers to have mature experience in leading technically proficient and highly skilled team members. We believe in creating a positive, proactive work space conducive to high performance levels. In order to do the coaching work, you will need to be a good business all-rounder. Strong business acumen and experience in running your own small business will be vital. All our business coaches deeply care about our entrepreneurs and their growth – we do not drive our own agendas

• You need to be the kind of person who takes huge personal pride in the work you do. You need to have a genuine love and care for people. You need to believe, intrinsically, in treating people with respect and dignity. Beyond that, you need to be resilient and able to deal with difficult personalities, and be assertive in your demeanour. The work we do is in service of others – that means it will be very demanding at times: in effort, in hours worked and in care and attention given to Raizcorp projects. You need to be the type of person who sees the bigger picture and who loves working to a larger purpose. It’s like being a nurse in a hospital (metaphorically speaking of course): you will take care of people in ways others won’t, it will often go unrecognised and the doctor will walk away with the glory – but you’ll be a critical link in every patient’s recovery. If this scares you, this is not the job for you

Requisites

What are the minimum requirements?

• The Branch Manager must have a tertiary level qualification, preferably in a commerce/business related field of study
• Minimum five to eight years’ experience in operational branch management and service level agreements
• Minimum five to eight years’ experience in leading diverse teams (leadership mindset)
• Strong experience in group facilitation and boardroom presentations
• Strong intermediate- to advanced-level Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Proven ability to work with detailed data analysis and metrics
• Proven ability to learn vast quantities of material in a short period of time
• Proven ability to keep track of multiple projects running simultaneously within a branch context
• Own vehicle with valid driver’s licence non-negotiable
