PSI is recruiting a Clinical Services Manager (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Serve as focal point and represent PSI at Non-Communicable Diseases Department (Cervical Cancer Screening), Mother and Child Health Department (Family Planning Program & School and Adolescent Health Program), on FP Technical Working Group and on MCH Goods and Commodities TWG
- Increase sustainability, impact and integration with MISAU and other partners
- Catalyze national solutions through which Mozambican adolescents, young women and all women in reproductive age (WRA) are enabled to use quality sexual and reproductive services, including cervical cancer screening
- Catalyze effective collection, analysis and use of safe abortion (SA) services data to support evidence-based decision-making
- Catalyze the provincial directorates to adhere to standard operating procedures for quality SA care provision
- Explore, inform and recommend PSI Mozambique on the best and proper approaches according to the level of implementation of SA in each province
- Coordinate the implementation model to generate evidence of what works to scale up quality SA care to all the districts of the three provinces:
- Identify and recommend local stakeholders and innovative implementation approaches
- Align the donor indicators with the MISAU safe abortion priorities
- Document learnings from the implementation
- Review SA services supervision and results on a quarterly basis with the Head of Public Health Department of each of the three provinces to analyze, improve, and maintain motivation for using the SA services
- Organize technical and logistic support for SA scale up in the three provinces
- Coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual SRH and SA services reports in line with MISAU reporting requirements
- Focus on usability and acceptability of the quality SA services by the DPS
- Participate in relevant meetings within the Ministry of Health to ensure that the SA services are in line with the national guidelines and recommendations
- Ensure timely delivery of feedback to the Head of Public Health Department of each of the three provinces and District Health Authorities (Médico Chefe)
- Monitor the implementation of recommended actions
Requisites
- Master’s degree in Public Health, General Practitioner or any other relevant field
- At least 5 years of working experience in the Public Health System, preferably managing Health Programs
- Demonstrated experience in reporting tools, data analysis, donor reporting, and facilitation of use of data for decision-making
- Relevant experience in working with Sexual and Reproductive Health/Safe Abortion/Family Planning is an added advantage
- Experience in project and team management
- Experience in results-based management, monitoring and evaluation
- Excellent knowledge of donor and Government approaches and regulations
- Familiarity with international health, development issues and the international donor community
- Excellent writing, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
- Outstanding Portuguese & English language skills, both spoken and written
