DAI is recruiting a Portfolio Manager (PM) for Biodiversity Conservation (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- The Portfolio Manager (PM) for Biodiversity Conservation will lead and manage the Biodiversity Policy Component, focusing on strategic technical work, relationship management, and developing/implementing the SPEED Biodiversity Conservation work plan
- The PM for Biodiversity will be supported by a Portfolio Coordinator (PC), who will provide support for component administration, managing consultants/subcontracts/grants and monitoring, evaluation and learning data collection and reporting
Requisites
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required, advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years’ of relevant professional experience and networks in Biodiversity Conservation (e.g., counter wildlife trafficking, community conservation, marine conservation, etc.), policy analysis and advocacy and private sector enabling environment
- Ability to effectively manage and deliver technical assistance on time and within budget
- Experience working on USAID-funded projects is preferred
- Ability to respond effectively to time sensitive demands & inquiries
- Excellent organizational skills with a willingness to take initiative
- Ability to speak in public and lead formal meetings with high-level government officials
- Competency in the English language, both spoken and written Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required, advanced degree preferred
