Heading is recruiting for its client an Oil and Gas company, an Expeditor (m/f), to be based in Pemba, Mozambique.
Duties
- Coordinate with transportation specialists, inspectors, and coordinators and monitoring aspects of processes such as cost management and order changing, and forward issues to management
- Supervise and coordinate with all port authorities, shipping agent and customs broker, the chain from the customs declaration to the transport and receipt of goods at the warehouse
- Receiving shipments of materials, and examining deliveries to ensure accurate quantities, quality, and specifications, Goods Received Note (GRN) raised, to facilitate PO close out and invoice payment
- Liaising with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Prepare import and export plans, according to the company's scheduled
- Coordinate with logistics team to resolve export/import compliance requirements and obtain timely shipping documents from supplier
- Facilitating flow of materials between various departments and parties
- Examining job cost reports for inconsistencies, such as mischarges
- Update Expediting plans along with Expediting Critical Items Schedule
- Ensure Loss Damage Warranty (LDW) reports are addressed and closed-out
- Performing clerical duties, and maintaining accurate records and files of activities
- Meeting and collaborating with other technical departments to identify solutions for ongoing problems
- Coordinate visits to review Shipment progress & applicable documentation submission
Requisites
- High School Education
- At least 5 years of experience in similar role in the Oil & Gas industry
- Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time-management skills
- Good organizational ability and proficient understanding of materials and services procurement
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to comply with company policies and procedures
- Fluent written & spoken English
