Aldelia is recruiting a Process Safety Practitioner (m/f), to be based in Temane, Mozambique.
Duties
- Responsible for advising operations on process safety-related matters and consistently delivering related process safety solutions ensuring asset integrity risks are properly managed
- Perform assurances on the effectiveness of Key Undesirable Events BowTie Critical Controls
- Perform site process safety inspections and 1st Party audits
- Actively participate and/or facilitate PHA studies - HAZOP, PHR, LOPA, SIL, MHI QRA/Explosion modelling and Building and Facility Siting Study
- Participate in Plant Management of Changes, Shutdowns, Pre-Startup Safety Reviews and Commissioning activities
- Ensure Process Safety Critical Equipment is managed as per the client standard
- Facilitate Potential Deviation Analysis
- Contractor Management from a PSM perspective
- Utilize the company's FER-SI Tool to determine fire, explosion and hazardous materials release severity
- Conduct process safety incident investigations, root cause analysis and provide guidance on corrective/preventive actions
- Track and report on actions from process safety issues, initiatives/projects, incidents, assessments/audits and safety performance for the facility
- Update Process Safety Leading and Lagging Indicators on a monthly basis
- Compile PSM monthly Key Performance Indicators report
- Manage plant-specific process safety procedures ensuring alignment with process safety standards, procedures, technical specifications and guidelines
- Share process safety topics, beacons and other awareness material for discussions in meetings and toolbox talks
Requisites
- Education: BSc/BEng degree completed over the last 2 years with a minimum score of 14 marks or equivalent
- Engineering field of study: Chemical, Mechanical, Process and Petroleum
- Experience: No experience is required since this is also a training and development position. Basic knowledge of application Safety & Industry standards and requirements is an advantage
