Aldelia is recruiting a Database Administrator (m/f), to be based in Pemba, Mozambique.
Duties
- Responsible for administering the groups integrated database management and ERP development including daily tasks involving troubleshooting issues
- Building and editing modules and general administration of the database and ERP
- Test or debug his/her work to ensure that the functional requirements are met, and that completed work is of high quality
- Configure, enhance, and administer a variety of backend database features. Well versed in relational database structures
- Review forms and reports and confer with management and users about format, distribution, and purpose, and to identify problems and improvements
- Ensure safety of the data through proper backup methods
- Filter and “clean” data, and review computer reports, printouts, among other documents to verify data is correct and the prepared report is up to quality standards and meets the user’s and department’s requirements
- Implement sustainable digital database/system solutions to improve the work environment and performance
- Provide training on the system and its changes throughout the company
- Act as helpdesk to the company the system
- Updating, record-keeping, contacts, supplier records, HR records, training records, data-entry, problem-solving, continuous improvement including the complete update of the information backlogs
Requisites
- Degree of IT/IT Engineering/Technical Diploma in Computer Sciences or related field
- At least 2 years’ experience in a Database administration
- Strong commands of English, both writing and speaking
