Process Plant Engineer (m/f)

Duties

• Demonstrate high commitment to safety and ensure strong compliance to Safety and Environmental management system by shift teams
• Ensure Safety and Environmental incidents are Immediately reported, immediately controlled, and appropriately escalated to relevant Superintendents & Engineer
• Drive the site equipment, people, and processes to maximize production
• Monitor and control all plant parameters to achieve required throughput, recovery, and product quality
• Coordinate real time plant feed rate and ore quality with plant shift team
• Ensure equipment is operated within defined operating strategies and procedures
• Ensure high utilization of the plant
• Controlling material movement, HEMM allocation and its monitoring and reporting
• Execute daily operating instructions issued by Shift engineer
• Active involvement in major plant shutdowns, maintenance activities and start-ups
• Direct the shift maintenance Mechanics on maintenance priority and troubleshoot the bottlenecks
• Provide performance feedback to Shift engineers and to other shift teams
• Always be contactable when on shift and be able to report detailed plant performance status
• Conduct detailed handovers
• Provide detailed shift performance reports

Requisites

• Recently graduated in Mineral, Chemistry or in Mechanical Engineering
• Qualified Evaluator and Assessor
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Ability to speak English fluently
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• A self-starter with excellent leadership skills
• Ability to thrive in a broad, multi-national team with a mix of cultures and backgrounds
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Able to work under pressure
• Ability to manage a team and possess skills for conflict resolution and problem solving
• Highly energetic and disciplined
• Strong sense of responsibility and leadership
• Excellent computer skills including use of MS-Office and use of web applications
