Aldelia is recruiting a Training Superintendent Operations (m/f), to be based in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.
Duties
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify training needs, access training gaps and develop solutions to deliver the needs through the Training Program
- Identify training system best practices and develop new training curriculum for the program
- Assist in development of the company Technical Tools Library. Work directly with technical staff and experts, to ensure that the Technical Tool Library is effective and aligned with training goals
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments and subject matter experts to create/update training materials for identified core curriculum and supplemental material for the program
- Work across plant sites with site/technical leaders to properly integrate the training program and curriculum for the development and progress reporting for individual employees
- Assist with developing the framework for the New Employee Training Program
- Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates
- Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
- Receive complaints and resolve problems
- Maintain time keeping and personnel records
- Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa
- Prepare and submit performance reports
- Decide on reward and promotion based on performance
- Hire and train new employees
- Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises
Requisites
- Bachelor’s degree psychology or engineering or operations or one to three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and proven experience
- Have knowledge of at least five (5) operations HMEE
- Experience in building and managing effective training systems
- Highly motivated, proactive, and resourceful self-starter with sound planning, organizational, and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication of English and Portuguese, with experience in collaborating with individuals across all levels of the organization, including the ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent prioritization and timely decision-making skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications
