DAI SPEED is recruiting a Project Driver (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Description
- The Supporting the Policy Enabling Environment for Development (SPEED) activity is a five-year (March 22, 2021 to March 20, 2026), $39.9 million project designed to improve Mozambique’s business enabling environment and enhance the role of the private sector in agriculture, trade facilitation, energy, biodiversity conservation, and health; it will also strengthen economic governance and public financial management, while enhancing the role of civil society, thereby improving the country’s ability to plan, manage, and finance its own development
- The Project Driver will maintain all project vehicles and drive project staff to and from meetings, appointments, and all other project-related travel
Duties
- Vehicle maintenance including regular check-ups, cleanings, and fueling
- Maintaining an accurate vehicle log
- Managing vehicle and trip scheduling as needed
- Maintaining accurate records and paperwork on all vehicle-related purchases and maintenance
- Provide safe transportation to and from locations for project staff
- Ensure compliance with all DAI and local driving laws and regulations
Requisites
- Basic knowledge of English
- Excellent driving record
- Valid local driver’s license
- At least 3 years work experience as a driver
- USAID or other Donor project experience, a plus
