PSI is recruiting a Medical Representative, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Description
- PSI is now moving forward with a Social Enterprise (SE) approach in key markets. This approach includes using commercial models, appropriate marketing and pricing strategies as well as significant procurement and operational efficiencies to provide affordable pricing while moving towards sustainable funding in the medium to long term
- Encompassed in PSI’s vision, is sustainably improving Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR) among young women by reinvigorating and refocusing SRHR efforts to include the delivery of health impact using cutting edge marketing and business strategies that are increasingly self- reliant
- We are looking for a Medical Representative to provide support to PSI’s in achieving its organizational and Social Enterprise objectives. This position will be an integral member of the Social Enterprise team and will be responsible for sales in the Southern Region
Duties
- Responsible for maximizing the sales and exceeding targets for a given portfolio of products through the different sales & promotion activities within a certain geographic territory
- Build relationships with target customers to enhance territory knowledge to gain product endorsement to generate sales
- Ensure that accurate, timely and relevant customer knowledge is captured and shared with colleagues using agreed processes
- Customer rapport
- Coverage and frequency (on high potential customers)
- Maintain a list of up-to-date target customers
- High level of customer service e.g., timely response to general requests from customers
- Access with ‘hard to see’ customers
- Providing feedback to sales management on customer requests, responses to promotions and product access and competitive activities
Requisites
- Diploma/Degree in Sales/Marketing/Healthcare or other related fields
- Medical or Pharmaceutical sales experience
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical/Medical devices industry
- Working knowledge of healthcare environment and customer types.
- Understanding and/or experience of sexual and reproductive health market (an added advantage)
- Basic Computer ability – e.g., Excel / PowerPoint /WORD/ FF SFA Tool usage
- Professional driving license
- Previous experience in the territory
- Existing customer relationships
- Effective selling and presentation skills
