Heading is recruiting a Regional Development (PIIM) Project Coordinator, to be based in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.
Description
- The Project Induced In-Migration Program Coordinator under the guidance of the PIIM Manager, will assume primary responsibility of ensuring day to day management and monitoring of the interventions and programs under the Project Induced In-migration Management Plan in Cabo Delgado. This include but are not limited to: (i) manage the Implementing partners in charge of the assessments and programs under PIIM in the project area; (ii) ensure field coordination with other functions within the Socioeconomic Development function; (iii) ensure timely monitory of influx of people and changes in the territorial planning landscape in the communities inside and outside the DUAT, amongst other activities under the PIIM plan
Duties
- Serve as primary point of contact for PIIM stakeholder engagement and program delivery in specific districts at Cabo Delgado
- Build relations with District government departments to ensure awareness and understanding of PIIM and promote timely government leadership in addressing PIIM issues
- Organizing, attending, and participating in the multi stakeholder meetings at district level; documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings; Ensure stakeholder views at the district level are managed towards the best solution

- Manage the IPs (Implementing Partners) implementing the assessments and programs under PIIM
- Ensuring that IPs adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each program
- Coordinate program activities with inter-related activities of other programs, departments or staff to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures and specifications
- Produce monthly progress reports on the IP implementation of the assessments and programs under PIIM
- Work with Social Performance Monitoring & Evaluation, Reporting and Learning Unit to collect data and measure the progress of the implementation of the PIIM programs
Requisites
- University degree in Social Sciences or other relevant areas (e.g., Agriculture, Sociology, Rural Development, Agronomy, Community Development, etc.)
- 5-7 years of relevant working experience in the development field, preferably in one or more areas of PIIM focus including, project management, spatial planning, urban planning, community health and/or community capacity building
- Demonstrable program management skills
- Demonstrated network with development community
- Relevant computer skills
- Fluent in Portuguese and English languages are required with preference for Swahili language skills
