PSI is recruiting a Project Manager, to be based in Sofala, Mozambique.
Description
- PSI is looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong track record in management and implementation of sanitation or business development projects
Duties
- Lead the project team (2 Business Development Officer and one M&E Coordinator) through the implementation of the project activities, assuming full responsibility for the project’s overall success and outcome
- Lead the development of quarterly donor reports with guidance and supervision from the Project Director
- Leads the coordination and engagement with the local partner (provincial and district level), ensuring regular updates on the project progress
- Measures project progress against the agreed log frame
- Develop feasible workplans for validation, tracking agreed timelines for tasks assigned to different team members
- Liaise with the Evidence Department to develop a suitable dashboard with project data that is monthly analyzed
- Identifies problems in the implementation, anticipates risks and seeks guidance on how to mitigate and overcome problems
- Represent the project and project updates to the consortium members during weekly meetings (in English) and in sporadic presentations
- Monitor and ensure quality and timely reporting and of project activities documentation
Requisites
- Bachelor’s qualification in relevant field (Public Health, Social Sciences)
- At least 7 years of work experience, in which 5 as a Project Manager of donor-funded projects
Previous experience in Sanitation and/or Business Development projects would be an advantage
- Relevant experience in staff management
- Good communication skills verbal and in writing
- Demonstrated experience in project and administrative support activities
- Well organized, strong attention to detail, and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Good computer skills in common word processing (MS Word), power point and spreadsheet (MS Excel)
- Excellent English and Portuguese language written and spoken skills (interviews will be conducted in English)
