Inside Capital Partners is recruiting an Assistant Financial Controller, to be based in Nacala-Porto, Mozambique.
Duties
- Creating financial statements and Business Presentations
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports
- Ensuring all accounting practices are in compliance with legal guidelines and established accounting principles
- Assisting with billing and tax documentation preparation
- Collaborating with the IT department to maintain financial records and system processes
- Identifying solutions to discrepancies in financial records
- Assist FM with management of all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P
- Coordinate and assist with the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Coordinate and assist with the preparation of regulatory reporting including annual and periodic program review audits
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance and FM as needed
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Additional controller duties as necessary
Requisites
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Degree / BSC in Accounting and Finance is required
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with financial statement preparation for all types of legal entities
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Experience in preparing and review of partnership, corporate, payroll
- Experience with corporate accounting
- Experience with various accounting software administration –SAGE ACCPAC experience will be helpful
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
- Willing to relocate to Nacala City. Work and live in Nacala
