DAI SPEED is recruiting for a Consultancy Opportunity: Development of a User Manual for the Certification and Licensing Electronic System, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Description
- The USAID SPEED Project is seeking a consultant, for a total of 20 days, from December 2024
to March 2025. The consultant must have expertise in graphic designing with a strong portfolio
of a range of communication materials.The consultant will be responsible for creating visual
content for a printed manual and design communication materials for the Ministry of Agriculture
and Rural Development (MADER)
Duties
- Conduct a quick review of the digital platforms for licensing and certification of animal
and plant products
- Develop a user-manual for the electronic systems for certification and licensing of
animals and their products
- Describe the main components of the platforms including their functionality, possible
linkages if any
- Description of step-by-step procedures tailored for the specific user (MADER inspectors
and certifiers, agribusiness actors or others) including visual content
- Edit and format the phytosanitary inspection manual and the training manual for
veterinary border technicians
- Design communication materials with sanitary and phytosanitary procedures for entry in
the country
Key Deliverables
- A friendly user manual with clear steps for certification and licensing of animal products
including visual content
- An SPS and training manual for veterinary technicians edited and formatted to include
visual content such as infographics
- A design for roll ups with clear procedures for sanitary and phytosanitary measures
Requisites
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, or other related field
- Experience with design software including online tools
- 2+ years of experience with editing user manuals and designing marketing materials
- Experience with content creation ensuring clarity and engagement with the targeted
stakeholders
- Ability to effectively manage and deliver technical assistance on time and within budget
- Ability to work in a multi-sectoral team
- Experience working on USAID-funded projects is preferred
- Excellent organizational, technical and communication skills with a willingness to take
initiative
- English and Portuguese knowledge are required
