CICV is recruiting a Trainer/LnD Officer, to be based in Pemba, Mozambique.
Description
- Purpose: Trainer 1 delivers learning and development programmes according to the objectives set for the delegation, serves as the focal person to coordinate Learning & Development activities in the delegation and is responsible for the Recruitment processes of the Delegation. Major responsibility focuses on carrying out and provision of support for learning and development programmes, mainly Welcome to ICRC, supporting analysis and evaluation of learning and development programmes, coordinating to the administrative and logistical organization of learning and development programmes, as well as establishing comprehensive data and reporting related to LnD activities
Duties
Training needs assessment ICRC staff (mobile and resident)
- In collaboration with HR department, the regional LnD, and departments, carries out training need assessments as requested
- Establishes, updates and maintains a list of staff with training needs for institutional as well as non-institutional trainings for General skills
- Regularly shares need assessment results with the delegation and with the regional LnD Unit
- Contributes to the adaptation of the trainings to the context and to the development of new trainings based on the specific training needs of the delegation
- Assesses the availability of external training services according to the training needs, properly map the providers and contributes to the contracting as well as continuous evaluation of their services
Planning
- In close collaboration with HR Department and the Regional LnD Unit, draft the yearly planning for blended/face-to-face/digital institutional onboarding & transversal courses and other training needs
- Complete annual PfR exercises to summarize LnD needs and communicate to the Regional LnD unit
- Follow-up the Course Calendar as well as official invitations of the regional LnD unit, and plan and prioritize waiting lists and nominations for institutional face to face and blended courses and programmes
- With the support of the HR/support department and/or the LnD Unit Nairobi, defines SMART objectives for ad hoc trainings as identified in need assessments
- In collaboration with HRM and line managers, prioritize, establish and communicate nominated participants list as per the criteria set for the course by LnD Unit
Conduction / facilitating of face-to-face courses
- Coordinates the administrative and/or logistical organization to deliver digital and face to face institutional onboarding and transversal courses and other trainings designed/planned for the delegation.
- Coordinates the proper adaptation of the mandatory onboarding trainings to the audience’s needs and level, the presentation of the different topics/modules of the mandatory onboarding trainings course, as well as the invitation and briefing of resource persons who involves in the delivery of the training
- Follow-up and support staff participating in blended or digital training sessions i.e explaining learning modules and paths, tools and accesses, solving difficulties and issues in access and usage of the platform/module/course materials
- Ensures that all staff is aware of access criteria & compulsory prerequisites to ICRC trainings
Training records/reports and data
- Liaises with the concerned regional LnDs, the delegation’s LnD Relay, and GVA Learning Solutions Services to ensure that all institutional trainings in the delegation are uploaded & registered in HRIS
- Closely follow-up completions and reports of completion of compulsory e-learnings
- Compiles and maintain data of sessions, participants, and waiting lists of institutional trainings
- Facilitates the production/order, filling & issuance and filing of training certificates following LnD procedures
- Draft and provide regular reports on training activities and provide data and lists for statuses
- Facilitate evaluations of training output/transfer and summarize reports to the concerned
- In charge of quarter Monitoring for Results exercise
Other support to HR department and the delegation
- In charge of Delegation Recruitment, liaising with the respective HR in the Delegation Sites
- In collaboration with the Senior HR Officer, arranges and conducts the standard HR briefing for newly hired resident staff, mainly at sites
- Promotes online onboarding resources of the delegation to newly hired staff
- Continuously promote ilearn (Learning channels & catalogue, compulsory courses, course calendars, online courses available for all etc.), highlight and lead staff to important learning resources, and render the necessary support to staff in using it
- Supports staff and line managers by explaining the process of iDevelop requests via the appropriate online tools and advise with its policy and rules
- Participates in LnD meetings and trainings and invests in own professional development using relevant internal and external learning resources and events
- Knowledge in HR Policies and Procedures
- Acts as HR interim support for the Senior HR Officer
Requisites
- University Degree, similar qualification or equivalent experience in a learning related field
- Good Command (Written and Spoken) of English
- Computer Literate, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel ad PowerPoint
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HR or similar field
