The purpose of this position is to support the sales effort of AMECO’s AME regional business development group in meeting or exceeding the company’s sales goals and procedures. This position typically reports to the Regional Director, Business Development or Regional Vice President, Business Development.
Duties
The overall purpose of this position is to support the development of cost-effective, high-quality sales proposals and presentations by providing editing, coordination, desktop publishing, graphic services, production, and printing services. Additionally, support the regional sales team with marketing research, coordination of BNB’s and RTR’s, sales documentation retention and control, scheduling and organizing client meetings, and related functions.
This position will require ability to establish close working relationship with the AME management team and potential customer contacts throughout the specified area or region. He or she will be required to effectively interface and communicate effectively with legal, estimating, operations, and sales personnel to assist in the development of proposals and related documentation in support of AMECO’s business line offerings. Individual will be expected to work very effectively with AMECO’s regional and local management and to effectively support business development strategies in the designated African markets.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and control the development process of proposals, qualifications, client presentations, internal publications and multimedia marketing collateral designed to help maintain a favorable company image and attain specific marketing objectives
- Have ability to manage several sales efforts simultaneously
- Coordinate information gathering on markets, industry and client trends as directed
- Link effectively with other AMECO regional/worldwide sales and operations personnel as required, maximizing teamwork, information sharing and increasing overall effectiveness
- Determine the scope of work, develop compliance checklists, set production schedule, manage level of services and resources, and track any special requirements necessary to get the job done (this can include coordinating ancillary projects that include multimedia and graphic projects) by the established deadline
- Work directly with the proposal manager and/or Business Group Marketing specialists or sales coordinators to produce proposals that fully reflect the client requirements and needs
- Participate in the kickoff meeting and proposal reviews and facilitate proposal-planning meetings
- During proposal development, organize the process for collecting author input and ensure that all standards are met, including format consistency within the proposal collateral
- Provide editorial, coordination, and management services, as required, to produce responsive, clear, consistent, and readable qualifications documents, proposals, presentations, and reports
- Perform final Serve as Marketing Services’ primary point of contact for a development effort
- Perform final compliance check, manage proposal production and assembly, and confirm delivery of final product to the client
- Coordinate marketing activities between corporate headquarters, business groups, Marketing Services offices, and other company affiliates
- Advise management of significant activities with regard to ongoing projects
- Under general supervision, provide guidance and direction to lower-level Marketing Services personnel and handle the most complex projects requiring an in-depth knowledge of the company, as well as the client’s operating procedures and philosophy
Requisites
- College degree or equivalent experience required
- Fully conversant, both written and spoken with English and Portuguese
- 5 - 10 years experience in sales and/or marketing in a related service industry.
- High Proficiency level in Microsoft Office or equivalent
- Strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to lead
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Able to organize, expedite, and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Keen sense of attention to detail
- Able to handle stress, work with high energy, and work overtime, as needed, with little to no advance notice
- Able to accommodate a flexible schedule; willing and able to adapt to the demands of a high-paced, corporate environment
- Able to manage others and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel in region and/or internationally as required
- Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located
