International Business & Technical Consultants, Inc. (IBTCI), a US based international development consulting company, is seeking a Community Health Evaluation Expert for the evaluation of a health systems strengthening program in Mozambique.
Requisites
- Applicants must be available to on/about May 27th 2013 till the end of August 2013, with a period of performance of 11 weeks with a LOE of 57 days, full-time
- Proficient in using quantitative data for triangulation and performing quantitative analysis and quantitative methods including: sampling frameworks, questionnaires, designs, development of database, manage data entry, data cleaning and analysis
- Experience in designing and implementing qualitative methods (focus groups, key informant interviews, direct observations and participatory rural appraisal), including data transcription, coding and interpretation
- Specialist in synthesizing and evaluating qualitative data, preferably from the areas of health, community, and/or rural development
- Expert in health sector in Mozambique and its health institutions
- Expert in USAID/ Mozambique’s health activities
- Extensive knowledge of health data and national surveys conducted in Mozambique
- Knowledge of rural development and poverty reduction in Mozambique as well as the issues involved and the agencies engaged in health development activities
- Expertise in community health programs and evaluations
- Proficiency in Portuguese is required and proficiency in local Mozambican languages is preferred
- Excellent writing and communication skills with experience producing team-based reports
- Ability to travel to Maputo and to travel extensively in rural areas in Zambezia and Nampula provinces
