The Advisor is a member of the Program Development and Implementation Unit at ICAP-Mozambique. She/he is responsible for plan development and program implementation at provincial and district levels within the integrated Technical Assistance and Capacity Building programs.
Duties
- Develop provincial plan together with the provincial and district teams
- Guide and participate in the identification of priorities and determination of provincial activities (focusing on district and Health Facilities levels) for development and program expansion, according to the strategic plan
- Participate in working groups at provincial level on issues concerning development and program implementation in provinces
- Track the implementation of activities developed by provincial and district teams taking into account the objectives, goals achievement and need for program and plans adjustments toward better performance and quality
- Identify, describe and document the successes, challenges and lessons learned from program at provincial level for internal use and external audiences
- Review reports developed by provincial teams taking into account the objectives and the need for plan adjustment
- Collaborate in the development of the integrated plan of the organization
- Develop and implement training plans for provincial and district teams
- Plan, realize and report on events for program review in each province
- Participate in forums and activities of interest for the organization
Requisites
- Higher level of education in the area of health, planning or other related areas
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in the development, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of HIV or public health programs
- Experience in control diseases program management in sub-Saharan Africa
- Experience in training
- Master’s degree is an advantage
- Fluent in English & Portuguese
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Availability to travel frequently to provinces
