BHP Billiton is recruiting a Superintendent Analysis & Improvement for the Mozal Aluminium Smelter, based in Boane.
Duties
- You will be responsible to ensure the adoption of 1SAP processes to enable the development and deployment of maintenance work strategies within and across sub-functions
- It will also be your responsibility to ensure statutory and legislative compliance of relevant equipment within the operation, ensure critical controls are in place for the identified material risks within the maintenance function and initiate engineering requests to the Engineering Function to improve equipment safety and reliability and ensure ownership of the same until completion
- Investigate reported events using the 1SAP work management process and instigate improvements where the maintenance function has primary accountability for controlling the risk
- Take full supervisory responsibility for the analysis & improvement team
- The purpose of this role is to ensure the development and ongoing improvement of maintenance work management strategies for the Operations' plant, equipment
- Ensure statutory/legislative compliance of relevant equipment to standards that are recorded by Engineering
- Provide organisational governance in the application of 1SAP processes and promote understanding and compliance to 1SAP principles
Requisites
- Degree
- Expert/Professional that has guided, developed and influenced practice in the Maintenance / Analysis & Improvement area
- Minimum experience of between 4 and 6 years were at least 2 in a leadership role
- Require detailed knowledge of theories and practices related to operating and maintaining operational equipment and substantial knowledge of other functions
