Aldelia is recruiting an Accounts Receivable (m/f), to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- Prepare Weekly clients call Plans for collections
- Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
- Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of clients’ bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable in the system
- Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail
- Support other accounting and operations team members when needed
- Preparation of all reconciliation’s clients’ accounts against the payments
- Preparation of weekly report for debtors management meetings and conference calls (age analysis)
- Sending of monthly/weekly or when required statements to clients
- Preparation and Attending meetings with clients when required
- Permanent Communications with bank to control the unidentified deposits from clients and allocate accordingly
- Managing the Credit limit in each customer account
- Support the sales team in the customer account creation
Requisites
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance related field or Equivalent work experience at least 3 years
- Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles and processes
- Excellent Communication in Portuguese & English (Spoken & Written)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Windows, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access Power point)
- Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures in a timely manner
- Minimum 2 years of work experience as an Accounts Receivable or similar role
- 2 years of experience with operating spreadsheets
- 2 years of experience with accounting software
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Time management and attention to details
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to keep company and partner confidences
- Capable of working in a highly pressured environment
