Feed the Future is recruiting an Agro Account Manager, to be based in Nacala, Nampula and Ribauè, Mozambique.
Duties
- Main Objective: Manage the Agriculture Division of Nacala
- Develop the Agriculture Market (for the supply of agrochemicals) throughout the country, especially in the northern provinces: Zambezia, Nampula, Cabo Delgado, and Niassa
- Identify and manage Agrodealers within the proper profile to be retailers of our products
- Identity and create partnerships with all entities related to agribusiness in Mozambique (DPA, NGOs, Major producers, etc.)
- Schedule commercial actions, stock management, and technical support to clients and partners
- Provide technical support in the field and in the northern provinces to our partners (suppliers, agrodealers and producers)
- Develop the partnership with our key suppliers
- 1st Project Objectives – Cotton Crop Solutions:
- Objective 1: Establish a Network of Certified Spray Providers
- Identify and assess potential spray providers in the various regions close to Olam’s cotton farmers
- Determine the code of conduct requirements for certified spray providers
- Engage potential spray service providers to explain program and benefit of certification
- Develop training and testing regime for certified service providers
- Provide/or organize for training for spray providers
- Oversee the implementation of the certified spray service providers
- Manage peer to peer learning and performance-based incentive program for certified service providers
- Objective 2: Establish an account management system
- Develop and establish a customer management system
- Identify potential ICT providers that can implement the system
- Work with the ICT provider to install the system
Requisites
- Education to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Agribusiness, Chemical Studies, Agriculture Sciences, Agro Engineering
- Proven experience working in a private or public sector
- Experience in Cotton Crop Solutions will be appreciated
- Experience in client relationship management
- Financial management and reporting
- Analytical and writing skills
- Fluent in Portuguese
- Knowledge of English language is desirable
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Use of MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
