Safintra Mozambique is recruiting a Branch Manager, to be based in Maputo, Mozambique.
Duties
- To effectively manage and control the operation for success by ensuring achievement of sales targets & budgets
- Ensuring cost containment & on time deliveries in the manufacturing and as such, taking responsibility for the entire operation by building a dynamic & motivated team with the ultimate aim of achieving Branch profitability & objectives in line with acceptable corporate governance standards
- Responsibility for the operational success of the branch by implementing sound business strategy and operational practices, in line with Safal group and Safintra Mozambique vision for success
- Ensuring the development and implementation of sales strategies and plans which contribute to the overall business objectives
- Identify & respond to immediate, medium & long term challenges facing the business
- Assist with the development of new products/markets within the Safal group and Safintra Mozambique vision for growth and diversification
- Propose, develop, communicate and monitor the implementation of sound corporate governance responsible for Capex control, ensuring the optimum and efficient utilization and ensuring the safeguarding of all assets
- Developing the Southern Regional market of Mozambique
- Responsibility for the overall profitability of the operation and controlling all aspects of operations including cost parameters within budget
- Focus on sound customer relationship management and fostering the development of new clients
- Maintain current stakeholders and foster the development of new business stakeholders
- Support business management whilst identifying, building and retaining opportunities & relationships
- Maintain and ensure high levels of management in respect of OHS, quality of products and high service levels to all stakeholders
- Providing guidance to all departments and responsibility for the enforcement of the business disciplinary code
- Monitoring & developing staff
- Foster employee satisfaction and promote succession and training
- Complying with established controls and authority levels in the scope of the function
- Part of the Safintra Mozambique Management Team
Requisites
- A degree-level qualification (in Marketing or Technical or General management)
- At least 5 years' experience in sales/operational management
- Sound knowledge of the construction industry
- Excellent knowledge of business & people strategies
- Excellent leadership vision
- Excellent financial acumen
- Excellent interpersonal skills & communication skills
- Excellent planning and organizing skills
- Ability to work in a culturally diversified organisation
- Ability to speak English and Portuguese
