Business Improvement Consultant

SNV is hiring a Business Improvement Consultant for Nampula, Tete, Manica and Zambezia.

Duties

• Read all the related documents provided by WFP, SNV and relevant partners such as PROMER and Agrifuturo
• Identify the gaps of information and procure them through partners and FOs consultations
• Support the technical preparation of the workshop
• Facilitate specific sessions of the workshop with key informants including WFP, BOM, Agrifuturo, CLUSA, PROMER, GAPI and SNV staff
• Elaborate a draft proposal of progression plan (including how to fill the gaps) based on the consultations and the inputs from the workshop
• Organize consultative meetings with boards and/or clubs of the selected FOs to share the drafted progression plan
• Develop a 5 years participatory tailor made progression plan for 18 FOs targeted by MDG1c programme; this includes the 18 investment plans (for 5 years) a market analysis for the last 3 years and a 5 years financial plan according to FO needs
• Facilitate 1 day workshop in Maputo
• Facilitate 4 regional workshops
• Women participation in all the stages of the plan have to be ensured through specific activities

Requisites

• Experience with business planning for FOs
• Knowledge of financial & investment planning
• Good knowledge of markets and market linkages for agricultural commodities in Mozambique
• Deep understanding of FO capacity issues and leadership issues
• Worked with FOs in Mozambique
• Good facilitator and experience in Capacity Building of FOs
• Excellent Portuguese and English
