Business Intelligence Analyst

Description

• PSI/Mozambique is looking for a data analytics manager who uses Power BI to create dynamic dashboards and visualize data to make timely business decisions. Reporting to the senior evidence manager, the selected candidate will interpret data and propose solutions to improve performance, provide monitoring and evaluation support to PSI Mozambique projects, lead a dynamic approach towards adaptive program management through evidenced based insights; manage an interdisciplinary team to interpret data and adjust programs accordingly
• Collaborate with PSI/Mozambique Senior Manager Evidence to ensure effective data collection, oversee quality assurance, undertake data analysis and support evidence-based decision making

Duties

• Ensure M&E systems are in place to capture key performance indicators
• Use and interpret data to course correct and improve managerial action and strategy in real time
• Optimize data collection procedures and generate reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Ensure quality control through the development of standard operating procedures and data quality audits
• Use interactive techniques to gain insights and use evidence-based insights to inform programming
• Ensures PSI/Mozambique staff and partners adhere to standard operating procedures for data collection, analysis, and management
• Build the capacity of PSI staff and partners on M&E (target & baseline setting, performance indicators, data collection tools, data quality control etc.) to improve monitoring of project activities
• Communicate analysis results and make recommendations to senior management
• Coordinate short term technical assistance (STTA) on M&E related tasks
• Liaise with the field team (provinces representatives, IPC supervisors) on Power BI related issues
• Coordinate the preparation of program reports in line with reporting requirements
• Documents evidence processes and learnings

Requisites

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Information Systems, Information Technology or related areas
• Experience in working in NGO’s, MNC’s and Public Sector
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Monitoring & Evaluation/Data Management
• Experience in Big Data Management
• Excellent analytical skills (This will be tested)
• Demonstrated experience in reporting tools, data analysis, and facilitation of the use of data for decision-making
• Experience working with health programs is an added advantage
• Excellent Communication abilities
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Working proficiency in English
