CDC – Data Management Intern

US Embassy is recruiting a CDC - Data Management Intern, to be based in Maputo.

Duties

• Support the informatics team in the design and delivery of assistance to The Ministry of Health for health information
• Data cleaning, database merging, maintenance of data sets, support the design of systems that allow linking data sources, support to the CDC data management section and other tasks as assigned

Requisites

• All applicants must address each selection criterion in their resume/CV or application detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item in ENGLISH. If that area is not clearly addressed or there is ambiguity, the application will not be considered further
• Language skills will be tested
• Minimum of two years of university Level Education in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Geographic Information Systems
• Level 4 (Fluency) Speaking/Reading/Writing Portuguese is required
• Level 4 (Fluency) Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required
• Experience or training working in a data management unit and with GIS
• Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel and statistical data analysis software
